Let’s make your resume stand out
Let’s work together to provide you with a strong, professional resume.
This is Sore Thumb’s community-rate resume access service. It exists for people who could use extra help at a discounted price. If you are early in your career, changing fields, or rebuilding after a tough season, this is for you. We especially encourage applications from people who are underrepresented or otherwise disadvantaged. You do not need a perfect resume or advanced education to get started here. Everyone needs a hand sometimes, and a professionally written resume can provide an advantage that may not have felt available before.
How this works
Complete the intake form. Share as much detail as you can up front.
Pay the $100 to start. Payment methods: currently accepting Venmo.
Receive a Google Docs draft with a short set of clarifying questions.
Reply with your answers.
Get your final resume in Google Docs. You can export it to PDF or DOCX anytime.
The more you share, the better your resume
Use the form to provide clear facts. If a field does not apply, leave it blank. If you are unsure about a date, note it as approximate.
What Sore Thumb will do
Write a clean, ATS-aligned resume that is easy for employers to scan.
Use professional judgment to highlight what helps you and trim what does not.
Rephrase for clarity and impact.
Keep the format simple and readable. Tables, text boxes, unusual fonts, heavy graphics, and complex layouts are not used because many Applicant Tracking Systems struggle to read them.
What this offer includes
One intake and materials review.
One written draft with clarifying questions.
One final resume after you respond.
Delivery in Google Docs with commenting enabled. You can export to PDF or DOCX.
Privacy and data handling
Your files are handled through Google Drive and Gmail. Do not send sensitive identifiers such as Social Security numbers or bank details. Your information is used only to create your resume and is not sold or given to third parties except to trusted service providers needed to perform the work or if required by law.
Who this is for
Entry-level and early-career roles across retail, hospitality, restaurants, customer service, warehouse, delivery, housekeeping, entry-level admin, and similar paths. First-line supervisor or assistant manager roles are welcome when the scope is straightforward.
If your background is executive, legal, academic, medical, military or federal, security-cleared, or highly technical, this offer is not the right fit. Sore Thumb can point you to the executive service if needed.
